The original map was once part of the Britannia Atlas, this version published in 1673. It shows all the major towns and villages in Derbyshire.
This is an historical story about an up-standing, law-abiding family-the GEES of DERBYSHIRE-the farms upon which they lived and died, their religious beliefs, and how their influence reached far corners of the earth. They were "salt of the earth" people, farming on three continents for 500 years or so. Their story needs to be told.
